Style Issue: Midcentury Modern
Midcentury design was born in the mid of 20th century (1901 - 2000) so somewhere after 1920’s there was modernization in design. Midcentury modern is integrating the 1920’s style with the sleekness and functionality of modern elements. Think of a sleek wooden velvet arm chair. Thats it!
This is a style in trend now, people are going crazy over adopting this into their homes. I love midcentury modern too and I love it for very specific reasons like:
The versatility of it, I do not have to worry about mixing textures
I can be super creative in incorporating clay, concrete, plaster elements to wood, stone and marble
The furniture is available everywhere
It can be elevated to timeless, fairly easily
You could go wild with green or blue but you need to select items to go with it carefully for it to give out that luxurious midcentury modern look.
